By Wood Memorial dominator Eskendereya, Eskenforit is the first foal out of the Sky Mesa mare La Pequena Gigi, who broke her maiden sprinting on turf. All four of her siblings to race earned over $90,000.

At the Fasig-Tipton Mid Atlantic 2-year-olds in training sale in May, 2018, we liked several horses in our price range, but the managing partners were unanimous that this colt (hip #309) was our #1 target.

Following some time to rest his mind and body at LaCroix Equine in LaGrange, Kentucky, “Kenny”, as he is affectionately known, took up residence at Churchill Downs.

After eight workouts, Eskenforit made his career debut on Sunday, September 30, 2018, at Churchill Downs.

That morning Brilliant Racing partners, their friends and family, were treated to an exclusive meet and greet with the managing partners and our trainers. In the afternoon, approximately 70 partners and their guests attended our “Brilliant Racing Launch Party” – a day at the races complete with accommodations in Churchill Downs’ fabulous Jockey Club suites.

2019 was a memorable year for Kenny!

He broke his maiden by the length of the stretch and lost a tough starter by a nose that we thought he won. He “won” the Indiana Derby without a jockey, and broke the 1 3/16ths mile track record at iconic Churchill Downs, sandwiching his name between Real Quiet and the immortal Secretariat. Eskenforit proved himself to be a legitimate racehorse and “Kenny” became a household name.

In September of 2020, Eskenforit ran third in the Champions Day Marathon Stakes at Churchill Downs, and as of May, 2021, he has earned in excess of $125,000.

Eskenforit is a very straight-forward individual who loves to train and he has quite the personality!

Out of a winning effort at Churchill Downs on November 10, 2021, Eskenforit was claimed away from us. Kenny is very special to us, and we welcomed him back to the Brilliant Racing family on July 3, 2023 to be retired.
