In a 50/50 partnership with Ten Strike Racing, Brilliant Racing Partnership III purchased His Heirness (barn name “MJ”) for $30,000 at the June 2020 Ocala 2-year-olds in training sale.

As the last worker of the breeze show, his work flew under the radar. We were impressed by strength, powerful stride and cool attitude. A $40K RNA weanling and sold for $75K as a yearling, he is the sixth foal with no siblings of consequence. The dam was 1 for 5 but is a half to the versatile millionaire Smooth Air and also Overdriven, who had a very promising career cut short. She was a good match for Kantharos and has under the radar and intriguing pedigree.

Unfortunately after giving him every opportunity, His Heirness was unable to make the races. He trained at both Colonial Downs and Churchill Downs under Michelle Lovell but was unable to handle the rigors of training, therefore the decision was made to retire him and be retrained for a new discipline.
