Remastered

Remastered is out of the second crop of Mastery, a son of Candy Ride, who was undefeated in his four-race career. Following his win in the 2017 San Felipe (G2) Stakes, he was widely considered as the favorite for the Kentucky Derby, but an ankle injury forced him into retirement. Remastered is the second foal out of the dam Sunrise Glow, who is by Distorted Humor. She won just one of seven career starts, but is a half sister to the talented Copper Town, a grade three placed, five-time winner and Central Park, who won eight of 19 lifetime starts. On pedigree and physicals, this colt projects as a sprinter/miler type, but also has some route influences.

Purchased for $30,000 in partnership with Don Salvino as a Keeneland September yearling, the 2-year-old gelding Remastered is currently in training in Ocala. He is scheduled to join Michelle Lovell’s stable at Churchill Downs in September.
