Out of a multiple graded stakes winning mare (over $600,000 banked), War Bond has three siblings who have made over $300,000.

When we claimed him for $10,000 at Fair Grounds, War Bond’s form was on the upswing, and he proved as much when finishing third and then losing by a nose for us in a pair of $17,500 claimers. The 88 BRIS speed figure he earned on March 14 was better than his previous seven starts.

Unfortunately, in early May of 2019 at Churchill Downs, “War B” suffered a suspensory injury during the running of a race. Through rehab at LaCroix, we gave him every chance to return to the races, but in the end, he just didn’t heal well enough to handle the rigors of serious training. The good news is, we couldn’t have found him a better home. War Bond was donated to Golden Creek Equine in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Not only is he serving as a stallion, War Bond has also been re-trained in additional disciplines. His second crop of babies are weanlings this year.

It’s good to be War Bond!
